Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe is an American country music songwriter and singer. In 2007, she released two singles, as well as an album entitled Satisfied. She then formed the Pistol Annies group with Angaleena Lambert, Miranda Lambert and Angaleena. Later, they released their second album called Like a Rose. Ashley Monroe performing Blake SheltonIn 2016 she recorded The Blade which was another highly acclaimed album. Ashley Monroe holds a position as Assistant Village manager for Riverside Illinois. She has 15 years of experience in the public sector, that includes five years of time working in Iowa City. She is currently the Assistant Village manager and holds a wide range of responsibilities that include overseeing the Community Development and Building Department and overseeing grants and special projects. Ashley is responsible for managing the operations and activities of Riverside Village, while also working to implement the goals and strategies that elected representatives. Ashley's prior roles have included government planning communications budgeting the management of staff and collective negotiations. Ashley is also passionate about climate action. Ashley's involvement with national organizations as well as working with communities that have diverse populations have given her insights into how organizations of all sizes function. Ashley's program is focused on management, leadership and public administration from the viewpoint as a professional. Ashley's emphasis on adjusting to changing circumstances and challenges while navigating the complexities of intergovernmental and community relationships and taking ethical choices will provide a framework for aspiring professionals and those currently working in public institutions.
